Future of agriculture will be driven by AI & Robotics

The agrifoodTEF project has begun, according to the German Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences. In order to deploy AI and robotics in the agricultural industry, the agrifoodTEF project seeks to coordinate the activities of many EU member states. The project has received 50 million euros in financial support from the EU as of January 1, 2023.

Each of the three major nations—France, Germany, and Italy—will get ten million, while several supporting nations—Belgium, Austria, Poland, and Sweden—will receive five million each. A statement from the university claims that the only way to progress the agriculture industry and boost productivity is via the use of AI, robotics, digital, and high-tech solutions. This would speed up and simplify the process of making modifications and gathering data. Additionally, a large network of specialists with innovative ideas may be found thanks to the university’s pool of skilled academics who are available as human resources.
