DoorDash introduces a new loyalty programme that allows restaurants to reward frequent customers within the app, along with other updates including a revamped mobile app and new tools for restaurants and delivery drivers. The loyalty programme, called DoorDash Store Rewards, enables restaurants to offer spending-based discounts to customers, encouraging loyalty and repeat orders. The program can be easily configured by restaurants within their DoorDash account at no extra cost. The redesigned app now offers a more comprehensive shopping experience, resembling a local version of Amazon, with a universal search bar, grocery and retail tabs, and the ability to create multiple carts for different types of items. DoorDash also introduces new features for restaurants and drivers, such as personalised recommendations for growing businesses, improved online ordering with customer ratings, flexible tipping options for customers, and tools for drivers to maximise their earnings and enhance safety, including location sharing.
