Vivek Sankaran, the CEO of Albertsons Cos., recently revealed how the giant grocer would connect deeply with consumers and make them the centre of attention.
The grocer is introducing a five-pronged strategy to associate with shoppers within physical and digital stores. Some of the key components of the multifarious strategy are:
- The grocer will enhance the health, media, loyalty and community experience by advancing the digital Albertsons app.
- More tech-oriented solutions would be introduced in the stores, allowing the store associates to build lasting customer relationships.
- The retailer plans to highlight private-brand fresh produce by changing the store layout as a result of changing consumer needs.
- Vivek Sankaran further remarked that the grocer would digitise its supply chain through enhanced data analytics and other modern data solution. The grocer expects the overall productivity to spike consequently.
- Lastly, Albertsons is committing to serious ESG goals by including them throughout its operations.
